Installation Military - Cubis Systems, along with its partners GM Products, recently had the privilege of attending a Dutch military training session on Cubis network access and cable protection products for use on semi-permanent military bases. This installation aimed to test the Cubis system for their energy and telecommunications infrastructure network.

For installation training, they created an underground network system using the Cubis MULTIduct™ cable protection system and the STAKKAbox™ ULTIMA Connect access camera system.

MULTIduct™ is an innovative, lightweight, structural multi-channel system that offers a modern alternative to traditional cable duct systems. Most commonly used in construction under tracks or road crossings, tunnels, bridges and buried linear routes, MULTIduct™ offers an easy-to-install and affordable cable management system.

MULTIduct™ also offers seamless integration with Cubis' range of camera access products, such as the STAKKAbox™ ULTIMA Connect, providing improved cable management and access. MULTIduct™ can be integrated into STAKKAbox™ access chambers on site, or the needles can be pre-assembled and delivered as a single unit.

The Cubis product range has many features that meet military requirements such as lightness, ease of use and the added benefit of easy transport.

The modular nature of the STAKKAbox™ ULTIMA Connect access camera system has ensured that the cameras can be packed flat and transported by air, enabling rapid international deployment. The use of lightweight flat pack modular components reduced transport weight and required no special equipment compared to a conventionally constructed precast concrete chamber system.

The Cubis product range is suitable for underground infrastructure networks and is widely used in sectors such as telecommunications, energy and power, rail, water and highways.

For the training installation, the Army adapted the ULTIMA Connect cameras and MULTIduct™ system to combine power and telecommunications devices.

Cubis has developed an innovative approach in a traditional industry. This has been achieved by developing quality products that replace traditional building materials such as brick and concrete with lightweight composites, modular and scalable products that incorporate intelligent design features.

They can then be installed more quickly and ultimately save our customers time and money, and the flexibility and adaptability of the Cubis product range allows us to better meet our customers' specifications.1/3 Show Caption + Hide Caption - General Edward Daly (left ) ).Materials Command U.S. Lt. JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO, FORTS HOUSTON, Texas ─ Gen. Edward Daley, Commander, Materiel Command, visited Joint Base San Antonio at Fort Sam Houston to interact with and provide guidance to US Installation Command leadership.

One of the main topics discussed was the Facility Investment Plan, a broad, multi-year priority plan of attack for building facilities that support strategic priorities. The FIP includes a plan to integrate construction projects that will emerge in the future based on management decisions. This enterprise-wide, integrated approach saves money, increases predictability and ensures that all projects are aligned with DoD priorities.

Addressing his comments to garrison commanders, Daly said, “FIP gives you the assurance that you have the facilities you need or they are for FIP. You should also be confident that as new requirements emerge, the existing program review process will ensure that they are fairly reviewed and integrated into the right place in the FIP.

The leaders also discussed the new Digital Garrison mobile application developed by IMCOM in partnership with the Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES). Digital Garrison securely delivers information and facilitates access to a full range of installation quality services. The application can be customized to provide information about one of 62 garrisons selected by the user. Digital Garrison is an enterprise application for its installations and will replace locally managed applications. It is a one-stop source of information for communities, putting real-time information in the hands of soldiers, families and civilians. It provides military community connectivity, which is a key component of readiness and resilience.

Daley's comments to the team at the start of the discussion summed up his assessment of the global IMCOM team. "I have the utmost confidence in this organization, the way you handle complex and challenging tasks, the way you see yourself and the progress you make in some very difficult tasks and challenging environments.
